August 29th, 2009
Time: 10AM till 1PM
Location: Latham Foodbank 965
Albany-Shaker Road, Latham, NY 12110

We’ll be doing various tasks at the Latham Foodbank so products can be shipped to various soup kitchens around the area. 20 volunteers of ages 14+ are needed for this endeavor.

Soup Kitchen As salamu alekum warahmatullah! Peace be upon you all!

Alhumdulillah this months soup kitchen is a humble one. We will be serving some bbq chicken/ hotdogs (halal) to 14 residents at Unity House 504 2nd ave, Troy NY.

We are in need of 5 volunteers to help prepare the meals and accompany the residents during lunch time 11am->12:30pm.

May Allah reward all of you who intend on coming and cannot, and may He reward you on intending to come and coming ameen :)

As salaamu alekum!

There is a soup kitchen coming up on April 25th. Registration is up!

This is a great chance for presenting Muslims to the Capital Region in the best light, the act of giving, which is such a tremendous aspect of the Prophet Mohammads Character, may Allahs peace and blessings be upon him. ameen.

May Allah help us all to make our intentions properly for Him and for nothing else, not for showing off, or thinking we are the best, just for the sake of pleasing our Lord insha Allah.

Please be prepared to sit down with those who we serve and talk to them, more importantly, listen to them. That is the most valuable thing we can give them, even more than food.

It will be held at Marilac Family Shelter aka St. Catherines

This Saturday we will be making and serving 155 meals in Schenectady.
Where: Union and Washington Ave, Schenectady

Following are some details:

When: Saturday, March 29th 10am-1pm
Where: 195 Washington Avenue Ext, Albany, NY 12205
What: Service of 120 meals to those who are less fortunate than you or I. This is done for the sake of Allah (the One God) desiring pleasure for the afterlife.
